CircleIt vs Pastel
Pastel collects comments on your site through its proxy, and your agent acts on them when you paste it a link. CircleIt works on the real page in each person’s own browser, and sends their feedback straight into the Claude Code or Codex session that’s already open.
Side by side
| What | CircleIt | Pastel |

What you get with CircleIt
-
01
The agent starts without a link
Pastel’s agent acts when you paste it a Pastel link and run it. CircleIt delivers each send to the Claude Code or Codex session already working on that site, and a terminal session or Codex thread starts on it without a prompt.
-
02
The real page, signed in
CircleIt runs in each person’s own browser, on the page as they see it: localhost, staging behind a login, or the live site. In Pastel, reviewers switch to Browse mode to sign in to a private site, then back to Comment mode.
-
03
Every detail of the element
For every element under a mark, the agent gets its selector, text, styles, HTML and source-file hints, with screenshots of the marks. Text edits arrive as the old and new words.
-
04
Check it before your agent starts
Set a client to Needs approval and their feedback waits for you. Edit a vague comment, take out a mark you don’t want built, or reject it with a note they see.
-
05
The sender sees it’s done
When the agent finishes, the sender’s page shows Done with the agent’s note. Before that, they see it move from Sent to Picked up to Being worked on, so they don’t have to email you to ask.
Questions
Does Pastel work with Claude Code and Codex?
Only when you run it. With Pastel’s MCP server, you paste a Pastel link into the agent and tell it to fix the open comments. CircleIt sends each piece of feedback into the Claude Code or Codex session that’s already open, and a terminal session or Codex thread starts on it without a prompt.
Does CircleIt work on pages behind a login?
Yes. CircleIt runs in the sender’s own browser, so it works on any page they can open there, signed in as themselves: localhost, staging or the live site.
Can my clients use CircleIt without fuss?
Yes. They accept your invitation, create a free account and add the extension, in Chrome or Edge on a computer. Then they circle what they want changed and press Send. They don’t need Claude Code, Codex or a terminal, and they see Done when the agent has made the change.
Can I try CircleIt before I pay?
Yes. Your first 10 changes are free, with no card, and they don’t expire. A change is one press of Send. After that, Personal is $9 a month and Team is $25 a month.
