CircleIt vs pasting screenshots into chat

A pasted screenshot gives your agent a picture and leaves it to work out which element you mean. CircleIt sends the exact element under each mark with the screenshot, from your browser or your client’s, straight into the session that’s already open.

Side by side

CircleIt compared with Pasting screenshots
What CircleIt Pasting screenshots
Goes into the agent session that’s already running Yes Each send goes to the Claude Code or Codex session working on that site. No It goes in when you paste it, into the chat you paste it into.
Who acts before the agent starts No one, once it’s sent (and approved, if you check feedback first). A Claude Code terminal session or a Codex thread starts on it without a prompt; the Claude desktop app picks it up with your next message. You: you take the screenshot, paste it in and describe the change.
What the agent gets Screenshots of each mark, and for every element under it the selector, text, styles, HTML and source-file hints. For text edits, the old and new words. A picture and your description. No selector, page text or source-file hint, so the agent works out which element you mean.
Feedback from clients Yes Clients and teammates mark up the page in their own browser, and it reaches your session with the page address. No Only through you: they send a screenshot by email or chat, and you paste it in.
The sender sees the agent’s reply Yes Their page shows Done with the agent’s note. Before that, they see it move from Sent to Picked up to Being worked on. No Only what you write back to them yourself.
Check feedback before the developer gets it Yes Set a person or a site to Needs approval. An approver can edit a comment, take a mark out or reject it with a note. You are the check: nothing reaches the agent unless you paste it.
One place for every request Yes A shared inbox, with each send’s screenshots, marks and a timeline of what happened. No Requests arrive by email and chat, with no record of what was done.

What you get with CircleIt

  1. 01

The element, not a picture of it

A screenshot has no selector, page text or source-file hint, so the agent works out which element you mean. CircleIt sends each marked element’s selector, text, styles, HTML and source-file hints with the screenshot.

  2. 02

    Clients send it themselves

You stop retaking a client’s screenshot and rewriting their words into a prompt. They mark up the page in their own browser, and it reaches your session with the page address.

  3. 03

It arrives while the session runs

A Claude Code terminal session or a Codex thread starts on each send without a prompt. The Claude desktop app picks it up with your next message.

  4. 04

    The sender hears back

When the agent finishes, the sender’s page shows Done with its note. You don’t write a reply for each one.

  5. 05

    Every request in one inbox

Each send keeps its screenshots, marks and a timeline of what happened, instead of being spread across email and chat.

Questions

Can’t Claude Code already read screenshots?

It can read a picture, but a picture doesn’t say which element you mean, so the agent has to work that out. You also have to take each screenshot and paste it in yourself. CircleIt takes the screenshots for you and sends the exact element with each one.

What about the Claude Code desktop app’s Browser pane?

It lets you select elements in its preview and pass them to Claude on your own computer, and the Codex app’s in-app browser does the same for Codex. CircleIt also takes feedback from other people’s browsers, including clients on staging and live sites.

Does CircleIt still send screenshots?

Yes. It takes them for you, cropped round each mark with the comments written on, and sends them with the details of each element.

Can I try CircleIt before I pay?

Yes. Your first 10 changes are free, with no card, and they don’t expire. A change is one press of Send. After that, Personal is $9 a month and Team is $25 a month.

Details about Claude Code and Codex are from their public documentation on 4 October 2026.
