Who it’s for
Stop pasting screenshots into chat.
Circle the thing on the page instead. Your Claude Code or Codex session gets the screenshot and the exact element under your mark: its selector, text, styles and source-file hints. Not a picture to guess from.
Pasting a screenshot
- 1 Take a screenshot of the page and crop it.
- 2 Paste it into the Claude Code or Codex chat.
- 3 Type which element you mean and what should change.
- 4 The agent works out from the picture which element and which file you mean.
- 5 For a client’s change, they email you a screenshot and you paste it in.
With CircleIt
- 1 Open the extension on the page and circle the element.
- 2 Type what should change beside it and press Send.
- 3 Your running session gets the screenshot and the element: its selector, text, styles and source hints.
- 4 The agent makes the change and replies. The page shows Done with its note.
- 5 A client does the same from their own browser, and it reaches your session.
The element, not a picture of it
With a pasted screenshot, the agent has to work out which of three similar buttons you meant. With CircleIt it reads the selector, the text and any source-file hint, instead of guessing from a picture.
- Screenshots too. Cropped round your marks, with your comments written on, so the agent sees what you saw.
- Text changes are exact. Select words with the Text tool and the agent gets Change “this” to “that”, with the text around it. Change the words
Feedback arrives in your session
A Claude Code session in the terminal wakes when feedback arrives, even when it is idle. In Codex, an idle thread picks it up within about 10 seconds. In the Claude desktop app, it arrives with your next message.
- The right session. When a session starts, the plugin tells CircleIt its project’s addresses: the APP_URL in .env, Herd or Valet .test domains, and dev-server ports. You see the folder and branch before you send.
- Localhost works. The extension runs in your browser, so it marks up your dev server, a .test domain or staging behind a login.
Your clients use it too
Invite a client or a designer to your team. They mark up the staging site in their own browser, and it reaches your session the same way. They see plain words, and Done with your agent’s reply.

Compare plansQuestions
Does it work with other agents?
The plugin is for Claude Code and Codex. For any other agent, Copy as prompt in the inbox gives you the same brief as Markdown, with links to the screenshots.
Does the plugin upload my code?
No. It tells CircleIt about the session (the agent, the computer’s name, the folder, the git branch and remote, and the project’s local addresses) and sends back the replies your agent writes.
Will Claude Code stop to ask permission?
It asks before each CircleIt tool call until you allow them once in ~/.claude/settings.json. File edits and commands still follow your own permission mode. Codex runs the plugin’s tools without asking.
What if I have several projects open?
Each session tells CircleIt its project’s addresses. The extension matches the page you are on to a project and suggests its session, and you see the folder and branch before you send.
What does the agent do if the page isn’t from its project?
It checks the address before it changes any code. If the page clearly belongs to a different project, it changes nothing and asks you instead.
